Naming Convention

I have a demo to upload for doom 2 max episode 1, in the naming for the demo do i call it movie or episode 1? Thanks!

uhh, sry for mistake... it should be:
plutonia-max-episode1-0123456.lmp
doom2-speed-episode2-0123456.lmp
doom1-nightmare-episode3-0123456.lmp

but I'll fix your upload so don't worry about it. Also, either script didn't detect demo correctly or something is wrong with demo. Have to check it later after work as episode is not properly detected.

uh oh, I tested in the tool with the correct naming scheme and it was able to say episode 1, would it be easier for you if I just upload it again with the correct name and delete the other one?

nah i fixed it already and reuloaded, yeah it detected episode1 but not correct.

EP/Movie: flag should say E for episode, M for movie and D for normal run.

So I guess you didnt add -episode 1 when recording

oh damn that's what I didn't do, i just did -warp 1. Anyway, thanks for the help FX, and I'll be definitely working on ep 2 and 3 and the full game movie

Yeah, requires additional command line but this is all you need (from rules/faq):

Recording demos for Competition Doom
To make sure everything will work smooth, to record VALID demo you have to use command line parameters or Competition Doom launcher:
-speed, -nmare, -max, -episode x, -movie

btw. launcher will do everything for you, you just have to click category/map(episode) you want to play.

Oh I can't use the launcher for some reason, it says
"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit windows compatible version is available."
So I've been just running a .bat with the command lines.

Well, that is really weird as I only have 64-bit systems like w7, w8.1 and w10. Have you tried the latest beta version?

hmm, it says:

Yeah I can't even install 2.0, even after the compatibility stuff is sorted out.
