If you only knew...(hell, if *I* only
knew...)
2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------
Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
ESDF/spacebar + mouse is all I
use. Joyb_speed=31 (autorun).
Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
Currently 162 megs. I also maintain a CD
of notable doom add-ons.
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
AFAIK through a doomworld link.
First COMPET-N demo:
ev22-922 {quickly followed by ev22-845}
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
None specifically; however, I'd say I pride myself on
choosing specific wad sets and contributing 'blocks' of demos. I usually
look for neglected or old records (usually from less popular wads) and try
to give them a modern refinement.
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
Lots of impressive work, so numerous
that I haven't even seen it all...so I'll hold my opinion on this one...
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
E1M3, E4M6, Map 17
Favourite TC/megawad:
I like a lot of them, but no clear favorite...sorry...
Do you like Quake?
To a superficial extent, I suppose. But the relationship
is strictly plutonic {hands off}.
What do you think of DOOM now?
Same I thought of it yesterday. Great
gameplay supplemented by a talented community.
Quality stands the test of time.
Anything you want to add here:
I love what COMPET-N represents. Here you
have a bunch of players that are dedicated and passionate about delivering their best.
Everyone picks their niche and gives what they can. And it doesn't matter that DOOM
is x amount of years old. This COMPET-N 'spirit' is an integral part of why I choose to
and why I'm motivated to participate myself. Form completed April 30, 2002.
I was certainly not surprised by these last sentences. Anthony always takes the 'community'
element in COMPET-N very serious and is responsible starting off a few demo crazes on various
WADs (most notable the whole avalanche of demos on TNT a while back). But back to his game, his
TNT and MM Max runs are the most notable, with nice looking and clean runs in each demo.
He is also in the exclusive club of being a player AND a map contributor to COMPET-N (the others
are Yonatan Donner and Adam Williamson).
