Your birthdate (or age):
28/02/1984
Your occupation/job/studies:
studying mathematics, physics and geometry
Your hobbies:
athletics, art, playing the guittar and beer drinking:)
Anything you want to add here (about yourself):
I'm speedrunner in doom and also in my real life - nice combination!!!
2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------
Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
Classic I'think:
wasd for movement
space for open
left shift for strafe 50 (strafe on + turn left)
My problem is probably in my computer; I have a 486!!! (yeah it still exists)
with very old mouse and I must still play doom under DOS. Its really
uncomfortable for recording demos - thats why they looks so bad. Sorry.
Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
Doom2: 350 Mb, Doom: 80 Mb
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
I think it was when I downloaded HR from some czech site, then I visited
Yonathan Donner's home page and after some time I found there a link to
Compet-N and was quite surprised...
First COMPET-N demo:
hr03-126
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
Don't know ... maybe pl02-228 or some of my pwad speedruns
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
Hard to say, I like max demos from Anders, Drew, Radek, Chris and many others
But if I remember, the first demos I saw from C-N which totally shocked
me were lv03-023 and lv16-011.
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
Doom: E3M6
Doom2: Map01, Map 15, Map16
And most of maps in Plutonia.
Favourite TC/megawad:
I wanna mention these:
Hell Revealed - Best ideas for maps and for gameplay.
Hell Revealed 2 - Only beta version but I must recommend it to everyone;
The level ideas are at least as good as in original HR.
And gameplay too.
Alien Vendetta - Perfect design and perfect gameplay! What else? Must be
a part of Compet-N!
Requiem, MM1 and MM2 are also great megawads, they are on nice second place.
Do you like Quake?
Yes, I like Quake 1 for single and ecspecialy speedrunning demos from best
players. Quake 1 has probably best weapon changing and best opportunities
for movement in the air. But its terribly hard to learn, I haven't managed it.
I haven't played Q2 or Q3 so I can't judge.
What do you think of DOOM now?
Best game ever... and with Compet-N it's at least twice better.
Anything you want to add here:
Playing Hell Revealed on a 486 must surely be dreadful :)) That doesn't stop Gusta though from sending
quality stuff for HR, Requiem, MM2, Plutonia and so on. Being a Czech player, that's a guarantee for
good demos - keep sending them in!
