1. General information
-----------------------
Your name:
Drew DeVore
You live in (city & country):
Goodrich, U.S.
Your birthdate (or age):
August 3, 1983
Your occupation/job/studies:
Currently attending Oakland University, working on a Computer
Science major
Your hobbies:
Computers, obviously, although I also enjoy some sports like fishing.
Sorry, no coin/stamp collecting
Anything you want to add here (about yourself):
I used to play quake3 with my clan "the Stickmen" until I lost
my fast connection and couldn't play anymore. Now I'm keeping myself busy in other areas. :)
2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------
Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
WASD for movement
Use: E
joyb_speed: 29/31
I leave vertical sensitivity on (mainly because I can't turn it off and can't
figure out why, heh)
Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
Around 50 mb at any given time.. I usually don't keep stuff
in the dir unless I plan to use them for one of my recordings or I just feel like playing
around.
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
Saw a link on Doomworld, recorded and sent in a few demos.. sometime
after that, Chris (Dashiva) joined my clan channel #stickmen on irc.enterthegame.com and
brought me back to #nightmare on IRCnet.
First COMPET-N demo:
pl08-135
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
Doom episode 1 NM in 6:59.. it's not perfect, but it's the most
hardworked of my demos
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
I haven't watched many demos yet, sadly, but I enjoyed watching
what I have. I really like Sedlo's demos; his committment to great looking demos is inspiring. :)
I also like some other player's demos for their specialties, like Chris' pacifist runs
or Xit's tyson runs. The episode runs are some of my favorites, though, and that's what
got me involved with them.
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
Doom: E1M7
Doom2: no favorites here
Favourite TC/megawad:
Hard to say.. the first one I played was momento mori, so I really
like that one for nostagic value. The others are equally impressive, though. :)
Do you like Quake?
Hell yes :) Maybe not for single player, but I played quakeworld
for +4 years total Best multiplayer game ever, in my opinion (and many others :)
What do you think of DOOM now?
It is still my favorite single player FPS game; I'm anxiously
awaiting doom3

Although he is a fairly new player to COMPET-N, Drew has already earned the title, "Most successful
U.S. player". With his stellar movie performances, he quickly changed the whole look of the movie
tables. If he keeps up his speed, we can only wonder what's next after all movies are taken? :)
